How to Choose an Installation Site for an Interactive Floor

The Briolight interactive floor is a floor projection system whose projector is mounted near the ceiling. Both the ceiling and the room must be prepared.

Room

Choose a dry, dust-free room with clear floor space of about 1.2 × 1.8 to 2 × 3 metres. The original recommended temperature was 5–26°C.

Ceiling height

Recommended height: 2.8–5 metres. For example, with a ceiling height of 2.8 metres the projected area is often about 2 × 1.5 metres. Depending on the mounting height, the image may range from approximately 1.5 × 1 to 3 × 2 metres.

Floor surface

Use a light-coloured, even, matte surface such as grey or beige linoleum. Briolight can install a white linoleum projection surface if needed.

Lighting

A darker room produces better projection contrast. Direct sunlight may require curtains or blinds, which were not included in the original quoted price.

Ceiling and electrical supply

Suitable ceilings include structural concrete and appropriate suspended or plasterboard systems. The original instructions excluded stretch ceilings. Provide 220 V power (up to 400 W), internet, grounding and preferably a dedicated breaker. Optional stabilisation is available where voltage fluctuates.

Installation requirements depend on the model and must be checked by qualified installers. Contact +38 (063) 258-15-15 or +38 (063) 103-35-35.
