Briolight's Speech Development package was developed for Windows computers and interactive speech therapy mirrors. The 2025 description presents six groups of activities intended for use with children under professional guidance.
1. Texts. An interactive reading exercise gradually colours a displayed text blue to guide the reading pace. The Start/Pause button controls progress. Left and right keyboard arrows change speed from 1 (slowest) to 15 (fastest), with a default of 5. Individual text lines can be hidden with a mouse click. The menu contains 14 texts, selectable using on-screen arrows.
2. Tongue Twisters and Vocal Exercises. The first mode contains 14 short rhyming texts for articulation and diction practice. The second has eight short songs for intonation, listening and rhythm activities. Each includes audio playback that can be paused and repeated.
3. One–Many. Seven exercises introduce singular and plural noun forms with pictures and spoken examples. Topics include wild and domestic animals, birds, dishes, fruit, vegetables and furniture. Users navigate between examples using on-screen arrows.
4. Say It Affectionately. Seven exercises introduce Ukrainian diminutive and affectionate noun forms in the same seven topic groups. Tapping a picture plays the standard and affectionate forms to support vocabulary and pronunciation practice.
5. Match the Word Parts. The child selects two fragments to form a complete word. A correct match reveals and pronounces the result. After three completed words, the next group appears. This activity provides practice in reading, word analysis and attention.
6. Sentence Building. The screen contains four blocks, three of which show objects, actions or spatial relations. The participant drags the appropriate picture from three or four choices into the empty block. Audio signals confirm answers, and a Play button reads the completed sentence aloud.
The software is intended as a tool for educational and speech therapy activities. Suitability for people with aphasia or other conditions requires individual clinical judgement; its availability and supported languages should be confirmed with Briolight.
