Briolight supported the Spokiy programme, which used digital technology and professional expertise to help adults and children affected by Russia's war against Ukraine.
Spokiy comprised three projects implemented from 2022 to 2025 by the NGO Maisternia Dobra with support from the US Embassy in Ukraine. Briolight was a project partner, with employees volunteering in Mykolaiv, Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities.
Spokiy (2022–2023): Psychological support for territorial defence personnel and their families. The project established a community of more than 270 mental health professionals, delivered 203 psychoeducational consultations and published self-help and professional educational materials.
The first project also produced a conference on psychological support for service members and two animated videos for veterans and family members.
Spokiy-2 (2023–2024): Restoring inclusive interactive learning spaces for children with special educational needs. Thirty devices were repaired in fifteen facilities, helping restore access to activities for an estimated 5,000 children annually.
The project published a ten-lesson video course of approximately 3.5 hours covering safe operation, software, interactive teaching methods, speech therapy and neuropsychological activities.
Spokiy-3 (2024–2025): Digital home-based recovery tools for veterans and families. A multidisciplinary group studied user needs and produced eight mobile applications, including neuro-exercises, fine motor practice, articulation exercises, breathing, alternative communication, self-training, therapeutic stories and goniometry.
The project's handbooks, videos, applications and other resources were collected at Spokiy.org. Briolight continued to welcome cooperation with charitable and research organisations.
