The Briolight interactive floor combines movement, learning, communication and cognitive activities. The software was designed as a multifunctional resource for different educational and developmental tasks.
The historical “Cognitive” library contained 39 interactive activities.
Exercises focus particularly on attention and concentration, working memory and cognitive flexibility.
Children can practise tasks previously associated with sitting at a desk while moving and playing. For example, instead of matching pictures and silhouettes on paper, a child can step on the matching projected image.
In the “Animals” game, children identify an animal from its silhouette by stepping on the correct choice. At the same time, they practise movement skills. In “Shapes”, they explore basic geometric figures, while in “Letters” they learn the alphabet.
Game-based formats allow specialists to vary activities and support children's continued interest during a developmental programme.
