Installation of an interactive sandbox Briolight 🌳
Briolight specializes in the production of sophisticated projection equipment, which includes the interactive sandbox Briolight S. It is an augmented reality system that creates a color projection on ordinary sand, which reacts to the actions of a person with this sand. Depending on the
landscape being built, the program illuminates the sand with the appropriate color (water – blue, plains – green, mountains – white). Our sandbox consists of:
- interactive block mounted on a wall or ceiling (inside there is a computer, sensor, projector, camera);
- reservoir for sand.
This equipment is intended for schools, kindergartens, entertainment centers, other children’s institutions, rehabilitation centers, is used in psychotherapy and psychocorrection, promotes the development of imagination, coordination. An interactive sandbox can be used as an independent subject, or as part of a general program, individually for each child, or for small groups of children.
Due to the fact that work with the equipment, as a rule, takes place in the circle of children, installation must be carried out in accordance with all safety requirements. To install our sandboxes, we involve our certified installers, the list of which is on our website. Depending on the room, unforeseen difficulties may arise at different stages of installation. To avoid them, we ask our clients for a photo of the room where the projection sandbox will stand.
Before leaving, our team carefully examines the photo, collects the tools and materials that will be needed, think over the installation plan and only then hit the road.
We discussed the requirements for the premises in the article earlier. Now let’s dwell on the installation process. Note that our services do not include cable laying. Since this can only be done by an electrician with the appropriate discharge. Therefore, the client must provide a lead-out socket with the ability to completely de-energize the device to connect the equipment in the room where it will be installed.
Depending on the location of the sand reservoir, the mounting location for the interactive unit will be selected. If the sandbox is against the wall, then the block is attached to the wall, but if the sandbox is planned to be placed so that the children have the opportunity to surround it, then the block will be mounted to the ceiling.
A separate option for installing a sandbox is its non-standard version. Some institutions want a projection sandbox that is mobile. We have an exhibition model for such orders. In this case, the interactive unit is part of the cabinet structure and does not need to be fixed to a ceiling or wall. Despite the stable structure, for safety reasons, we still fix such a sandbox with a special cord. This is necessary to ensure that children do not overturn the cabinet and interactive unit. Outwardly, such a cord is not noticeable and does not affect the appearance of the sandbox in any way.
Another feature is the unique Briolight software.
After the installation is completed, our specialists proceed with the setup and calibration of the system. Since the software is very complex, it requires an experienced approach to fine tuning. This setting is done only once at the first start. In the future, it is she who allows the equipment to work correctly and determine the relief.
All subsequent updates and interventions of our specialists can take place remotely, subject to the availability of a Wi-Fi network.
Upon completion of these settings, the equipment is completely ready for operation. And the installation of an interactive sandbox from our specialists is complete.
