A sensory room for children with developmental disorders has opened in Lviv. The Lviv Regional Psychoneurological Dispensary received equipment worth almost UAH 500,000.
Charitable supporters from Türkiye helped by purchasing equipment for the sensory room.
The result is an environment designed to stimulate children's senses, broaden their experiences and support sensory development in rehabilitation activities.
The room includes a Briolight interactive floor and panel.
“We created a little paradise where everything gently helps children forget their fears, deal with negative emotions, aggression and hyperactivity, and encourages activity in children with low motivation to learn,” children's psychiatrist Lidiia Shylych told PravdaTUT Lviv.
Parents report noticing positive results from time spent in this interactive environment.
Support is provided free of charge to children with disabilities.
