Students of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University in Mykolaiv created the video project “Liudnykovyi Period” to introduce notable people from the city. One episode featured Andrii Vasyliev, founder of Briolight.
At the time of the interview, Briolight developed and manufactured interactive electronics for rehabilitation and inclusive education, as well as for advertising, interiors and entertainment. Its work encompassed engineering, production, installation and service.
The company's name was associated with the idea of a “living world”, reflecting the interactive projections at the heart of its inventions. Its earlier portfolio included projects for major corporations, as well as charitable initiatives supporting children with disabilities.
The interview introduced three product types: the interactive floor, where sensors respond to movement within a floor projection; the interactive sandbox, where projected landscapes respond to sand contours; and the interactive panel, a movable touch display for group and individual activities.
Briolight's software included activities involving attention, memory, reasoning and sensory interaction. Such tools can broaden the range of activities used by educators and rehabilitation professionals; their suitability and results depend on the context and the individual.
